i love the remake of the movie, ''The Killers'', with John Cassavetes and Lee Marvin. the framed pic comes from a still shot of the movie. the background is a sharpened blueprint of guns. sometimes i like to make the covers simple, sometimes not. this one was an easy and came out great. okay...the two of us don't have much to contribute to Chocolate Chess, except music. so maddie come up with the idea that once a week we argue online, like we do in real life. i decided to put one of my favorite flash games against one of eggs' favs. i chose monkey lander. fuck eggs, i didn't know your mom could fly a spaceship!
hey...it's me, eggs. i picked this game because it's fun like burger time or that rootbeer bartender game, that i don't remember the name of right now. anyway, 80's arcade style games are the way to go. does anyone remember seeing Charlize Theron win an Oscar for playing yale's mom in Monster. someone should've told your mom hooking isn't really a profession based on respect.
William Holden Is the shit! he's one of the old school's finest. three of his most famous flicks couldn't be more different. The Wild Bunch, Sunset Blvd. and my focus...Stalag 17. whether it's an action western, a smart thriller or a WWII drama, this man has got the goods. unlike powerful actors from a earlier age, like James Cagney, William Holden came along at right time. earlier films from the 30's and 40's weren't technically equipped or written well enough to handle real actors talents. it didn't help that at the time, serials viewed in theaters made people want more of the same. the origins of typecasting actors to a mass audience could have killed cinema, but by the late 40's early 50's things changed. finding and loving Stalag 17 changed my overall taste in movies, and expectations of films. ''...pinochle, it's a rough game.'' an all-time great line!
hey people...checking in with some music news. be on the lookout for new vid clips like the one included in this blog entry. it's a lot easier to give you new tracks, with i creative twist. we've got a ton of music...a ton! my next ''Maddie Loves Movies'' entry should be out later this week. the subject...''Stalag 17''. you've never seen or heard of it? well you're in for a treat if you check it out. by the way don't expect much of a real review (synopsis and such), that's what imdb is for! i just like blabbing about crap i like: william holden, pulp, godzilla, gamera, old gangster flicks. check this out...
White Label's ''Spit Shine...(money fresh, clean and fine)'', from the ''le grand hustle...soundtrack vol.4'' recording.
white label's pop shill vol.2 (2008) cover. i like elephants, label loves elephants. we chose them for his logo. so when this record was recorded i used them along with other elements to express...blah, blah, blah. it's just a fresh clean cover. art beats bikinis...at least on record covers. Later...Hubb
this cover is one of my favorites. i found a photo on the internet of a soul sister and used it. i love masks, so the idea of a beatles oddity-type mask cover was cool. four men wearing female masks, almost as if they (us) were robbing a bank, appealed to me. i think maddie just ran by me naked...
it's here! our first track from ''Maddie Loves Hubb'' entitled maddie loves you. hope you like it...i do! you can find it in the media player now! shout to hubb for believing in me...psych! he knows i have skills. soon you will be able to download the first track, and more to come. i love web only content. for those of you who agree we've got more to come. see you suckas... love maddie
