Chocolate Chess...Front Page (01-25-09)

this week is dedicated to the 'Maddie Loves You' release. so this cover was made for maddie to show how much i respected her growth. the Maddie Loves Hubb record was basically a record i started. later i stripped down the tracks to basic beats and some bass to show maddie layering techniques. she learned so quickly that i decided to scrap the original record to build something with her. the bonus beats record is all her. the new production, restructuring the drum tracks and bonus break work. we are really proud of her...so congrats maddie. even the Defiant Ones owe her thanks. arguably one of the best tracks on their record, the title track 'an old school killin', was co-produced by her.

a lot of attention is being paid to me this week and i'm not hating it! but just make sure you check out the goings on at Chocolate Chess. especially the media player because the mixtape for the album of the year is banging it. the Defiant Ones ,my former arch enemies, are destroying speaker boxes with their sonic bastard piece...An Old School Killin. it will come out later this year...maybe for free! late...
